First Photo shoot for Grayson

I know this is a little late but here are the first photos of Grayson taken by my brother Ryan.

Grayson is 2 months

Can't believe Grayson is 2 months already! Grayson had his check-up this past week and weighs 13 lbs 13 oz and is 25.2 inches long.  According to Adam's baby book, Grayson weighs more but not quite as long but still off the charts for the average 2 month old for length. He has been wearing 3-6 month clothing since two weeks ago. 

Grayson loves smiling and started to laugh but really does not enjoy tummy time. He has a giraffe that he loves laughing at. Here are some pictures of Grayson. 

Grayson is 1 month old

Can't believe how time is flying and Grayson is 1 month already! He also has had his 1 month check up too which was good. He weighs 11 lbs 7 oz (85%) and is 23.75 inches long (100%). Doctor said he is growing great. Grayson is trying to grab and started to smile occasionally. He still gets pretty vocal how uncomfortable he is when he has gas but other than that he is a pretty good baby.  Here are some pics of this cute 1 month old. 

Big Boy at 2 weeks

Grayson had his two week checkup and, it went great. He is a great eater weighing 10 lbs 2 oz since he weighed 9 lbs 2 oz a week again. Doc said usually want them to be back around birth weight but he definitely surpassed that. Grayson is almost 23 inches long. So this puts his height in the 100% and weight in the 88%. Doc said he looks great and is a very strong baby. He was already trying to move off the table. Grayson is wearing since size 1 diapers. He really never fit in the newborn so hospital gave us size 1 when we went home. He is wearing 0-3 month clothes since week 1. This has a lot to do with him eating so well and often during the day every 1:30 - 2 hours. At night he has started giving me a little break eating every 3-4 hours. Grayson loves his sister but gets a annoyed when she's all over him with kisses and hugs but she tries to be gentle. He sleeps a good amount during the day and started becoming better at not staying up at night. 

We are so in love with our big guy. 

Grayson is here!

Our little guy is here! Although there was nothing little about his size when he was born. 

Grayson's birth story:

Grayson's due date was Sunday oct 5th, and I was dilated 3 cm but nothing was happening. A few little contractions throughout the week and lots of pelvic pressure, but that was it. 

On Monday oct 6, I had my doc appt, which got moved a little earlier because he had two patients go into labor that day. That made me a little jealous, thinking I should be one of those patients but then thinking positively, it will happen soon. He said still dilated to 3 cm and was surprised I was still pregnant. We decided since the baby was big and I was dilated 3 cm, to get induced Wednesday. Although, I knew there was a chance I could go into labor before then, I figured like ellie, Grayson needed a kick start with being induced. 

So I went home told Adam the news and my parents, my siblings, and his parents. 

As I was walking around the block while Ellie tricycled (my daily exercise), I was joking with Adam's mom, Ann, that she would be getting the due date right since she predicted oct 8 because there would be a full moon. I told Adam I really wanted eggplant parmigiana that night as it was said to help someone art labor, however it didn't work with ellie. 

After dinner, a little before 9pm, Jessica and I were watching the voice. I told her I think the baby kicked me really hard then I stood up and started leaking and said ' I think my water just broke.' I told Adam we had to call the doc as I started to gush out water which did fell like I was peeing all over myself. Contractions started and were 5 mins apart but not intense yet. 

We went to the hospital and texted and called family, thinking he would be here Tuesday morning. My contractions started to get intense. The nurses checked me and I was about 5 cm. Within 20 mins my contractions were right on top of each other from 30 seconds to at most 2 minutes apart and very painful. I decided I definitely needed an epidural. The docs were 20 mins away and once I got the epidural I felt like I needed to start pushing but my doctor wasn't there yet so I had to hold him in and they checked me and I was fully dilated. Once my doctor was there I pushed for thirty minutes, and he was out. 

I couldn't believe it was only 10:56. I just got to the hospital around 9:30. It went so fast! He is perfect! Our big guy weighed 9lbs 8 oz and 21 inches long.  He looks a lot like Adam but also like Ellie when she was first born. We love him so much! Ellie loves helping and kissing him all the time.  Here are some pictures of Grayson and the last ones are of Adam and Ellie. 

40 weeks and waiting...

Today is our due date and like his sister, baby Grayson doesn't want to leave his womb. I have my next doctor's appt tomorrow so we shall see what he says. On Wednesday I had my last appt and doc said I am dilated 3cm so labor should be coming soon, right?

We will keep you updated, but until then here are a few pics we took at the apple orchard when we went with aunt Jess, aunt Aristene, uncle Ryan, and Colton.
