Turkey day and more

Although thanksgiving (turkey races) is over and we are getting ready for Christmas, I thought I would post some pictures of thanksgiving and everyday Ellie. I didn't get many photos but Ellie and Colton seemed to love racing each other on their rocking horses so I have to share that.

Ellie has been quite the fashionista that she shops in my closet lately for shoes and jewelry.

She even dresses up Ambra on occasion.

Photo Friday back again

Finally posting pics of our sweet little Ellie.  Can't believe Christmas is right around the corner.  Ellie is chatting up a storm; repeating many words we say. Loves Elmo more than ever and some of the other Sesame Street characters. We finally are able to put her hair in pigtails, too. Maybe people will finally stop mistaken her for a boy. Oh well. Here's Ellie.

Weddings and a birthday

The past weekends we had a few weddings to go to. My friend Michelle got married to Brian liszka in Rockford and Ellie got to stay with papa and nana. The wedding was beautiful, and it was nice to see some of our friends.

That Sunday we had aunt Jessica's surprise 30th birthday party, which was so nice to see everyone there, and even Jess' long time friend Amy and her husband Danny. Also we got to meet John's mom who was very nice.

Last weekend, we went to effingham to go to Adam's cousin's wedding. Another very lovely wedding that Adam's mom created the floral arrangements and centerpieces. Aunt Rachael and her boyfriend came, which unfortunately Ellie didn't warm up to her until the end of our visit because she was sick.  We also got to see Adam's cousin Steph and her husband Greg.

Although, it seemed to go by fast, we enjoyed all the events and visiting with everyone.

18 month checkup

Ellie is almost 19 months. We had her checkup; she is 34 inches long 96% still :) and weighs almost 25 lbs. She is talking a lot more and repeating words you say. She still loves saying 'no'. Ellie likes saying her name too. When I say Eloise, she says Ellies. Ellie also loves to dance, color pictures, play outside and definitely shoes! The last picture is Ellie wearing my shoes.

Last weekend we ran the AIDS run in Chicago with Jessica, John, Ryan, and Colton and then went to John and Jess' place for a BBQ. It was so great to get together and nana, papa, and uncle came too.  Here are some pictures. Ellie fell asleep at the end of the race. Wanted to do the 10k but ended up running the 5k.

Apple orchard

This past Saturday we finally went apple picking. We met up with our friends, Laura and Chris (and few others), who live in the city, at an apple orchard near Munster, Indiana. Adam and I went there a couple years ago and ate at 3 Floyd's brewery with them and we have been trying to make it a tradition.  With Ellie being a toddler, it would have been pretty tough for her to wait for an hour for a table at the brewery, so we just stuck to what the orchard had to offer. Ellie got to meet the farm animals, ride mini tractors, and pick apples. It was a great time had by all, but went by fast.
